SHRUTI NAIK
Hello There!

I am a final year PhD student (doctorante) at Developmental Neuroimaging Group, UNICOG where I am jointly supervised by Ghislaine Dehaene-Lambartz and Demian Battaglia . My research work involves analysis of EEG signals to help understand temporal dynamics of the infant brain during the first semester of their life.
I use Computer Science methods such as, unsupervised machine learning and Non-linear Dynamics on infant EEG time-series data to identify cognitively relevant brain states and to understand how they are implicated in infant behavior.

I completed Masters in Computer Science with focus on Cognitive Science at Cognitive Science Lab, IIIT Hyderabad under guidance of Dr. Bapi S. Raju and Dr. Dipanjan Roy . I did my B.Tech. in Computer Science from Nirma University, Ahmedabad.

As of June 2021, I am looking out for Post-doc opportunities in Cognitive Psychology/ Clinical Neuroscience or related field where I can apply my knowledge and analytical skills to the projects that have direct impact on public health and well-being.

I am particularly interested in Sleep Research and how sleep impairs Consciousness, Memory and Cognition, eventually leading to psychological disorders.
